Loganberry Festival
Back to the Farm
July 21 and 22, 2012
The Loganberry Festival is a celebration of all of the many attributes of Greenbank Farm. It is the opportunity to spotlight the land, programs and relationships the Farm serves to nurture. As such the Festival encompasses:
- Community produced goods, arts and services and food
- Farming based activities and experiences
- Family focused entertainment and game
- Environment, landscape and preservation learning
- Tenant sales and service
- History of the Farm
Back to the Farm is the key concept defining our intention to provide you with a uniquely Whidbey farms experience.
The Greenbank Farm’s history is a rich part of the history of Whidbey Island. The Farm is sustained by a dedicated group of tenants, volunteers, and friends of the Farm all of whom add diversity, and build community. We are also inspired by the abundant habitat we steward.
All of the features you will experience at the Festival are local to Whidbey and its nearby islands. You will meet artists, entertainers, farmers, food vendors, service organizations and volunteers, all of whom are neighbors and produced their goods and services themselves.
The wonderful volunteers and Friends of the Farm who make the festival possible span all segments of our Whidbey community including corporate groups, the Navy, service organizations, and many generous private individuals…
Special features of the 2012 Loganberry, Back to the Farm experience are:
- Expanded 4-H and Equestrian Program – full two days of animal events in the arena and plenty of animals to see;
- Fiber in the Barn – Hands On demonstrations of everything from the fleece through to the handcrafted product;
